Goldlux

Last weekend we decided to sell our gold Golf 4 Station wagon,  also affectionately known as GOLDLUX. Her poor engine needed a revamp and since we just can't afford to keep feeding her our pretty pennies what seems like monthly, we decided to let her go and search for a younger car with less mileage. Goldlux had clocked over 300000+ K's! We want another vehicle that will last as long as and serve us as well as dear Goldlux. Goldlux is sorely missed. She was J's first car that he faithfully travelled in on regular business trips to P.E, to Tshwane when we dated, to JHB when we were married, made a couple more trips back to the JHB to the Temple, we slept in her on a YW camp in the middle of winter, J brought Molly home in her, and so many more memories. It's funny how attached we get to cars...

We placed an ad up on Gumtree on Saturday, on Sunday a man came to check her out, and on Monday she was sold!Goldlux is especially missed now that we have only had Blue Baby to use this week...makes for stressful times and hectic schedules. We've been praying non-stop to find the perfect well priced car for us, and J has spent many late nights searching for cars on the net. Finally, on Friday at the last minute, we found a car that could possibly be ours. The only snag is that it is in Cape Town (gotta broaden the horizons in the search for a vehicle as our town is only so big haha). So the dealer there is trying to find a suitable courier to get it delivered to us asap. Here's holding thumbs and all ten toes that it all works out.
