Allow me to brag for a minute. ahem.
Last year in September 2011, the youth and leaders of our ward (E.L 3rd) completed a symbolic 22km walk from a dance club symbolizing the world and its values, all the way to our chapel in Belgravia on the opposite side of town to symbolize leaving the world and its values behind and choosing to live the Lord's standards. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life! J was the 'ambulance' and I was the photographer and reporter. I promptly wrote a 3 page article for submission to our Church's New Era magazine for youth and young adults. I received a phone call from Salt Lake City, Utah at the beginning of the year to say that my article has been accepted to appear in the February 2012 mag. And true to word, it has! Ta da!

Even though it isn't the article in entirety, our youth are tickled pink to be in the New Era and to finally 'be on the map', as they say. Our youth are extraordinary individuals. Every one of them has had major trials to battle and yet they somehow manage to stay close to the Lord. But with the Lord helping you to fight those battles, it isn't any wonder why they choose to follow him.
