Re-cap of the last 7 months...

It all started with this: our wedding on 13 December 2008 in Centurion, Pretoria, South Africa in a chapel that was recently bulldozed for the city train. We were sealed later that day in the Johannesburg Temple for time and ALL eternity! :) It was by far, the most awesome day!

2) Spent our honeymoon in 3 locations: Johannesburg, Bloemfontein, & Humansdorp, right by St. Francis Bay and Jeffrey's Bay! We spent majority of the time burning to crisps on the beloved BEACH, eating good food, and acting like tourists. Tip: check out the lighthouse in Cape St. Francis at night! Its the most beautiful sight to behold with the sky covered in a million billion stars all glittering, and hearing the sound of waves crashing on the rocks below! Its incredibly peaceful! Warning: will bring tears to the eyes!


3) Moved into this little place we call HOME! Complete with a free family of wild monkeys! (the furry critters in the forest I mean, not us...)

4) For Easter weekend we went camping in Cintsa - at the beach, yet again. We LOVE the BEACH! At night around the campfire we spent our time cracking up when reading Sir Richard Branson's motivational book "Screw it, Lets do it!" (Highly recommended! Makes for a good laugh!)



5) In April was the Young Women camp in Palm Springs! Hands down, THE BEST YW CAMP EVER! The YW are amazing young ladies! Jarom and Bishop caught fish whilst the rest of us did...stuff. (Raised the gold banner and all that jazz!)

6) In May we flew up to Johannesburg to attend some wonderful sessions at the Temple and spent lots of much needed time with Stayci & Joe Gosling! Joe & Jar were happy to be reunited to talk sports; Stace and I talked everything BUT sports! I think its time to go back for another visit!! :) Whilst there we hiked up Smuts koppie, went on the Irene walk with the Martin's, and attended Centurion 1 ward! "Hey Jarom, remember the time we missed our flight back home?" LOL! Our advice to those from Jo'burg: MOVE!!

7) June hit us, and still no sign of winter = WE ADORE YOU EAST LONDON! This is heaven on earth! Shorts & t-shirts all year round! Jarom celebrated his 24th birthday!! He chose to have dinner at Grazia, and it was pretty good! He was thrilled to receive 2 Man United shirts from L's parents in England! He wears it when he plays soccer now and looks AWESOME! We Also in June, I flew down to Cape Town to attend my dear Gunny's funeral and spend time with my cousins!)

8) In between all this, we've had a stack of braai's, saw the play "The King & I" @ the Guild Theatre, played lots of board games, attended Youth Conference & LOTS & LOTS of church meetings, Martin came to visit us (thank you!), purchased tickets for World Cup next year (EXCITING!), went to a cricket match, and so forth!

As you can see, our life together has just begun, but already has proven to be SUPER FANTASTIC!

The bug has bit!

The blogging bug has hit us, and hit hard! Since unfortunately we're scattered all over the world, this is our way of sharing the little happenings in our lives that make them meaningful to keep you up to date. This way, we get to journal, and you get to read. Win win situation right! Note though, we're new to this, so please be patient with us as we learn all there is to this! Thanks!
